Family Services Manager
The Family Services Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Family Services Program which serves youth and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence. The position provides oversight and coordination of professional, administrative and clinical activities as well as some direct service. Specific responsibilities include program development and management, supervision of staff and establishment of positive community relations through ongoing collaboration and communication with relevant professionals and agencies. Family Support Coordinator – Substance Use Services Department
The Family Support Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of teaching the Parenting classes utilizing the Nurturing Parenting evidenced-based curriculum. The Nurturing Parenting program provides parenting classes to voluntary and court-mandated clients with substance use disorders. This position assumes the broad role of teacher, supporter, advocate, child development specialist and liaison to the larger community. The Family Support Coordinator is trained to have extensive knowledge and skills, including an understanding of child abuse and neglect, the ability to conduct a developmental screening, parenting and home management skills, and the ability to access community resources. They work with each family and facilitate weekly parenting groups which helps families develop strength-based action plans to address areas identified as challenges, provide information to improve parenting skills, teach child development and maintain collaborative relationships with primary care providers and the community. Prevention Educator – Substance Use Prevention Education Department
Prevention Educators provide age appropriate substance use prevention programs and education to families and youth. Relief Advocate – Residential Services Department
Relief Advocates provide on-call coverage for weekend shifts (Friday 3:00pm – Monday 6:00am.) Relief advocates work as needed to relieve full-time and part-time staff and must be available for day, evening, and overnight shifts. Training and Education Advocate – Prevention Department
The Training and Education Advocate will recruit direct service volunteers and interns. This individual will promote Mutual Ground services throughout the community. The Training and Education Advocate will also coordinate and continuously update the 60-hour DV/SV Certification program at least two times per year and conduct community education about sexual and domestic violence and agency services for groups and organizations in Southern Kane and Kendall counties.
